Electric actuator immunity test (EFT)
Electromagnetic environments at industrial sites are becoming increasingly harsh
With the continuous enhancement of electrification and intelligence in industrial sites, more and more high-power electrical equipment (kilowatt-class motors, frequency converters, inverters, etc.) are introduced into the industrial process control system, and the electromagnetic environment of the industrial site has become more complex. In this increasingly complex electromagnetic environment, how to improve the anti-interference performance of electric actuators to ensure reliable and stable work?
In order to ensure the reliability of electronic controllers and sensors in application scenarios, the IEC has studied and summarized the most frequent and easily coupled electrical interference pulses in industrial sites. Finally, we have defined the typical waveform characteristics such as frequency, period, amplitude, etc. of electrical fast transient pulse groups. Before the product is applied to the industrial site, we simulate the most common interference waveforms through the advance test equipment, the immunity test of the product, you can avoid a lot of problems in the field of anti-interference, and ultimately reduce the potential quality risk of the product.

Evaluation of EFT test results
- Category a Within the specified limits, the actuator is functioning normally with no degradation of performance.
- Category b Temporary loss or degradation of function or performance, which recovers on its own after the harassment has ceased and does not require operator intervention.
- Category c Temporary loss or degradation of function or performance that can only be restored by operator intervention after the nuisance has ceased.
- Category d Damage to the hardware or software of the equipment, or loss of data resulting in irrecoverable loss of function or degradation of performance.
